Self Awareness
How well do you know yourself ?
Self awareness is the ability to recognize his/her emotions, behaviors, motivation, belief systems and other characteristics, such as strengths and weaknesses. This enables him/her to identify and understand the self as a separate entity.
But why should we learn about ourselves? Let me give you an example,
if you are trying to teach a young kid about multiplication,
what is the first thing you would do?
You would first connect with the kid and get to know his prior knowledge. In this case, you'll need to know if he knows about addition in order to understand multiplication.

It's a similar case with self awareness, the young kid here is your mind and body, you need to understand your strengths and weaknesses in order for you to learn something new!
Self awareness doesn't only mean understanding your abilities, there's more to it. One of my favorites quotes is :
Reflecting and learning from our past to lead a better future is. I wake up on Monday mornings and tell to myself "This is the fresh week which is going to change my life for good'. Sometimes, the week works well, sometimes it doesn't, but it's all part of the journey, the important part is to analyze what went wrong and fixing it in the further weeks. You may want want to forget your worst mistakes, but why not turn it into an experience, at the end of the day, you learn from your mistakes and you won't repeat it. That is self awareness.
Activities that can help you self reflect :
- TIME LINE - This is a time line of your life, try drawing a line a piece of paper, the starting line is your birth, Similar to a life line, write down experiences which you remember the most, and the ones which might have changed your life bit by bit, which you've faced in life, positive, negative and a bit of both :)

But wait! what is this and how does this help us?
Well, By writing down your past negative aspects in life, it helps you think about how you overcame the problem in your life. It gives you confidence to get up from whatever the current problem you might be going through.
Whereas, when it comes to writing down the positive aspects and incidents, it helps you to continue to be optimistic and positive in the future, even in a negative situation!
By looking at your time line, you'll be able to see how each and every little incident has shaped you as who you are now, and you'll be proud of it!
Try to make this time line twice a year, and it will help you stay grounded 😇

Sometimes, when we're low, you don't really need motivation all the time, you just need a person, to connect with you and say 'I feel the same too...'. You may not have a person with you all the time, but you definitely have music. Create playlists specially for each of your emotions, ex. happy, sad, envy, angry, sleepy and more :)
- Emotion Pizzas 🍕 - Sometimes, not knowing what emotions you're going under can make you restless, You're subconscious mind will not make you think about it, but you've got to take a step to process them.
And one of the best ways to do it is to make an Emotion pizza, For example when you're feeling weird and not able to express yourself :
The emotions need not have to be related to one particular incident or moment, it can also be like the feelings you have at the spur of them moment. Understanding that this is what you're going through, helps you calm down, and think that you're ok for the moment!
